Vibrate Higher

An interesting company I found in New York that I may be working with in the future is called Vibrate Higher.  I wanted to share a little information about them- and the person behind it.Also, here is their website if you are interested in purchasing their apparel : https://vibratehigher.com/collections/womens Sandra's Bio- As a first
generation Haitian American, the desire to help others has always been second nature to me. While I am a native New Yorker, my Summer’s growing up were spent in Haiti.

My parents turned a two-room dispensary in the small town of Milot in Haiti- into a full-fledged hospital - which allowed my mother to become the Director of the hospital, while my father ran the Cardiology department. My parents never gave up on their desire to bring healthcare to rural communities - and taught me from a very young age that it is our duty to pay it forward and help one another in any way we can.

As a student of yoga for over 10 years, asana and contemplative practices have helped to ground me while working in the Fashion and Beauty industries and especially now as I pour my heart and soul into Vibrate Higher. This company is the manifestation of my desire to help others and continue to build upon the valuable lesson taught to me by my parents. Our mission is simple…

Our mantra based clothing and accessories promote our values of mindful and conscious living. We want to help make the world a better place by invoking massive change at a grassroots level.
Once I decided I wanted to do MORE and give back- the next mission was to choose a cause. My first thought was what the people of Haiti could use the most. What would enrich their lives?
Sadly 63% of Haitians are without access to electricity still TODAY. For these families, having electricity means more than just “light”-  it means increased studying time for a growing child, it means a  safe walk home amidst a world of darkness, it means that health and medical professionals can do what they do best- regardless of the time of day.

Safety also plays a huge role in the absence of electricity. Of the 1.1 billion people living without electricity, most rely on dangerous, toxic, and expensive kerosene as their primary source of light. Did you know that more women are severely burned by kerosene-related accidents each year than are diagnosed with HIV and TB combined? Or that exposure to smoke from kerosene kills nearly 2 million people annually? Access to solar lighting not only lights people's worlds, but it helps to save lives.
For each Vibrate Higher item purchased - we donate a solar powered lamp to a family in Haiti. We want to help LIGHT the world and LIGHT the way for these families in need.
I hope that you will join us on our mission to enrich and save lives, by lighting up the world.
